The Irish Way of Life

by John Shaughnessy

The Irish love a good story. And these stories flow through The Irish Way of Life: A young Irish immigrant getting ready to board the Titanic. Childhood friends living their dream as Irish cowboys. A musician giving the performance of a lifetime -- in a restroom. Brothers and sisters growing up in an Irish Catholic family. A parent and child sharing the strange, sacred bond of Notre Dame football. A son returning to Ireland to find the home of his mother. This collection celebrates the heart, humor and proud heritage of the Irish.

"Some of the stories made me laugh and others brought tears to my eyes. The stories illustrate what family, tradition, faith and friendship mean to all of us. I look forward to having this collection in my bookcase with my other treasured books."
